Duties

Serves as the Advancement Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the Vice President for Advancement.

  • Serves as the office receptionist and greets visitors; answers and screens telephone calls to the department; organizes and routes incoming mail
  • Assists in managing the department master calendar; work space, office records and files.
  • Helps manage the databases for the department.
  • Manages the department expense accounts and interfaces with the financial administration offices
  • Coordinates and arranges department and/or staff appointments and meetings, reserves and prepares facilities, produces meeting materials
  • Purchases and inventories all office supplies and maintains the office equipment
  • Schedules and sets appointments with donors and constituents as requested by the Vice President
  • Coordinates the vice president's travel schedule and arranges travel details such as air tickets, hotel reservations, and rental vehicles; travel authorizations and expense statements.
  • Assists the department with donor and alumni cultivation events by managing the logistics
  • Assists the department in the organization, coordination and implementation of the scholarship program, and student awards colloquy

Desirable Qualifications

  • Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and governmental regulations
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to write business correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals or groups of students, faculty, and the general public

Compensation

Hourly; $19 to $22.50/hour (plus denominational benefits, depending upon qualifications and experience)
