Duties

Assist the Executive Director to effectively coordinate employee benefits plans, handle risk management initiatives, workers’ compensation claims, NAD retirement program, and monitor employee training.

  • Assist PUC and HME employees with benefits and insurances.
  • Support employees with questions and issues, enrollment and claims in healthcare plans
  • Provide assistance to employees on other employee benefits plans (EAP, Group Basic Life/AD&D, voluntary supplemental insurances)
  • Process benefit plans invoices accurately
  • Assign EVERFI training modules to employees and monitor progress
  • Collaborate with Facilities Management on conducting fire drills
  • Coordinate with Sedgwick on worker’s compensation claims
  • Monitor long-term disability leaves and claims in collaboration with HR Manager
  • Process NAD retirement applications through ARP
  • Maintain ARM risk management initiatives and insurances
  • Comply with ACA reporting yearly
  • Update NAD Service Records yearly
  • Issue NAD retirement records every two years or when requested
  • Assist in the Varsity Sport Health Plan and work with the athletic department and the varsity athletes to include claims resolution, change reporting, invoices for payment and communicate benefit information to the student athlete
  • Handle vehicle registration and insurance documents and all driver’s clearances for use of PUC vehicles.  Organize pull notices for drivers
  • Process LiveScan background check process for all employees and volunteers
  • Obtain Notary license for State of California
  • Assist with 403(b) Empower retirement plan, unemployment insurance and ADA reasonable accommodation as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Desirable Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Internet search engines, Adobe and other applications
  • High organizational skills in prioritizing and multi-tasking work

  • Understand general policies and procedures
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of privileged information

Compensation

Hourly; $21.93 to $24.86 Per Hour Commensurate upon degree and experience (plus denominational benefits depending upon qualifications and experience)
